Awaken to Your Destiny

You are not a drop in the ocean;
You are the entire ocean in a drop.

Rumi

The universe experiences itself through you
for a brief moment called life.

Eckhart Tolle

Jo Frederiks

I sometimes try to imagine what would have
happened if we'd known the bonobo first
and the chimpanzee only later - or not at all.
The discussion about human evolution might not
revolve as much around violence, warfare and
male dominance, but rather around sexuality,
empathy, caring and cooperation.

Frans de Waal

Pursuing self-esteem can be motivating,
but other sources of motivation, such as
goals that are good for the self and others,
can provide the same motivation
without the costs.

Jennifer Crocker & Lora Park

I believe that we are all creative beings and
that you were placed here on this earth
to create something of value to the world.
Something that will help others break free,
something that lights you up with passion and
something that is larger than just you.

Mastin Kipp

Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and
go to the grave with the song still in them.

Henry David Thoreau

The thing about real life is that important events
don't announce themselves... Usually something
that is going to change your whole life is
a memory before you can stop and
be impressed about it.

Edith Schaeffer

The really important kind of freedom involves
attention, and awareness, and discipline, and
effort, and being able truly to care about other
people and to sacrifice for them, over and over,
in myriad petty little unsexy ways, every day.

David Foster Wallace

Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction
ends up being the biggest step of your life.

Naeem Callaway

The greatest gift you have to give
is that of your own self-transformation.

Lao Tzu

The meaning of life is to find your gift.
The purpose of life is to give it away.

Pablo Picasso

Life is no brief candle to me.
It is a sort of splendid torch
which I have got a hold of for the moment and
I want to make it burn as brightly as possible
before handing it on to future generations.

George Bernard Shaw

The best way to find yourself is to
lose yourself in the service of others.

Mahatma Gandhi

Competition is the law of the jungle,
but cooperation is the law of civilization.

Peter Kropotkin

Service to others is the rent you pay
for your room here on earth.

Muhammad Ali

Life's most important and urgent question is:
what are you doing for others?

Martin Luther King, Jr.

If you want to live a happy life,
tie it to a goal, not to people or objects.

Albert Einstein

Success, like happiness, cannot be pursued;
it must ensue, and it only does so as the side
effect of one's personal dedication to a cause
greater than oneself.

Viktor Frankl

I am of the opinion that my life belongs to
the whole community and as long as I live,
it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.

George Bernard Shaw

Culture eats strategy for breakfast.
Peter Drucker

Two roads diverged in a wood and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
and that has made all the difference.

Robert Frost

Everything that's happened in your life
up until now has been preparing you
to live your purpose. These have been lessons
and now it's your time to step into your purpose
and make your mark. You are stronger than
your circumstances and what other people say.
There is something within you that is only
yours to give. Give us all you've got.

Transform Yourself 🩋

Before, my role model was the vision

of the woman I wanted to become.

Then I became that woman.

Diane von FĂŒrstenberg

Act the way you'd like to be and soon
you'll be the way you act.

Leonard Cohen

To become the person you aspire to be,
develop the habits of that person.

Bille Cristiane Temanel

There is but one solution to the intricate riddle
of life; to improve ourselves, and contribute
to the happiness of others.

Mary Shelley

1. Prepare: Internal dialogue & mindset.
2. Plan: Set goals.
3. Purge: Internal & external.
4. Provide.

Change your opinions, keep to your principles;
change your leaves, keep intact to your roots.

Great things are not done by impulse, but
by a series of small things brought together.

for tomorrow. The important thing is not
to stop questioning.

A seed grows with no sound, but a tree falls
with a huge noise. Destruction has noise,
but creation is quiet.

Confucius

We first make our habits,
and then our habits make us.

John Dryden

Ja visst gör det ont nÀr knoppar brister.
Varför skulle annars vÄren tveka?
Varför skulle all vÄr heta lÀngtan

How to Travel

The purpose is not the destination
but the journey itself.

Amish Tripathi

Travel and tell no one, live a true love story
and tell no one, live happily and tell no one,
people ruin beautiful things.

Khalil Gibran

A life without self-reflection and exploration
is not one worth living.

Socrates

Environment is the invisible hand
that shapes our behavior.

James Clear

Better to try all things and find all empty,
than to try nothing and leave your life a blank.

Charlotte Bronte

1. Make a list of your essentials.
2. Coordinate outfits in advance.
3. Use packing cubes.
4. Fold heavy items, roll smaller items.
5. Have a waterproof bag for liquid.
6. Wear the bulkiest items and accessories on the plane.
7. Make use of every space.
8. Travel with less.

If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain,
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.

Emily Dickinson

The pleasure we derive from journeys is perhaps
dependent more on the mindset with which
we travel than on the destination we travel to.

Alain de Botton

Either write something worth reading
or do something worth writing.

đŸŒ» What is Veganism? đŸŒ±

Veganism is a philosophy and way of living
which seeks to exclude - as far as is possible
and practicable - all forms av exploitation of,
and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or
any other purpose; and by extension,
promotes the development and use of
animal-free alternatives for the benefit
of animals, humans and the environment.
In dietary terms it denotes the practice
of dispensing with all products
derived wholly or partly from animals.

If we could live happy and healthy lives
without harming others, why wouldn't we?

Pam Ahern

A good heart will refuse the happiness
built on the misfortune of others.

Saadie

We know we cannot be kind to animals
until we stop exploiting them -
exploiting animals in the name of science,
exploiting animals in the name of sport,
exploiting animals in the name of fashion,
and yes, exploiting animals in the name of food.

César Chåvez

Widely recognized as the foundational text
within the animal liberation movement,
Peter Singer's Animal Liberation opened
my eyes to the radical philosophy that all
animals are worthy of equal consideration.

Joaquin Phoenix

My own view is that being vegan is not an end
in itself, but a means towards reducing both
human and animal suffering and leaving
a habitable planet to future generations.

Peter Singer

It is not an act of kindness to treat animals
respectfully. It is an act of justice.

Tom Regan

The assumption that animals are without
rights and the illusion that our treatment
of them has no moral significance is a
positively outrageous example of human
crudity and barbarity. Universal compassion
is the only guarantee of morality.

Arthur Schopenhauer

Animals have a right to live, and whilst that
sounds very simple, our culture has denied
them that right in so many ways. In the same
way as I think that humans deserve the chance
for a good life, I extend that to animals.

Paul McCartney

Whether we exploit animals to eat, wear, to
entertain us, or to learn, the truth of animal
rights requires empty cages, not larger cages.

Tom Regan

Sympathy beyond the confines of man, that is,
humanity to animals, seems to be one of
the latest moral acquisitions.

Charles Darwin

If you don't want to be beaten, imprisoned,
mutilated, killed or tortured, then you
shouldn't condone such behavior towards
anyone, be they human or not.

Moby

Veganism serves as the criterion by which
we know that the pursuit of moral progress
on the part of humanity is genuine and sincere.
Veganism is the acid test of humanitarianism.

Leo Tolstoy

Every effort should be made to stop
the wanton, cruel slaughter of animals,
which must be destructive to our morals.

Nikola Tesla

Shame on such a morality that is worthy of
pariahs; and that fails to recognize the eternal
essence that exists in every living being,
and shines forth with inscrutable significance
from all eyes that see the sun!

Arthur Schopenhauer

Animals suffer as much as we do.
True humanity does not allow us
to impose such sufferings on them.
Until we extend our circle of compassion to
all living beings, humanity will not find peace.

Albert Schweizer

The idea that we have the right to inflict suffering
and death on other sentient beings for the trivial
reasons of palate pleasure and fashion is,
without a doubt, one of the most arrogant and
morally repugnant notions in the history
of human thought.

Gary L. Francione

The greatest thing in the world is not so much
where we stand as in what direction
we are moving.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Make ethical choices in what you buy and do.
In a consumer-driven society our individual
choices, used collectively for the good
of animals, can change the world
faster than laws.

Marc Bekoff

Be the change you want to see in the world.
Mahatma Gandhi

Alone we can do so little;
together we can do so much.

Helen Keller

We cut the throat of a calf and hang him up
by the heels to bleed to death so that our veal
cutlet may be white; we nail geese to a board
and cram them with food because we like
the taste of liver disease; we tear birds to pieces
to decorate our women's hats; we mutilate
domestic animals for no reason at all except
to follow an instinctively cruel fashion;
and we connive at the most abominable
tortures in the hope of discovering some
magical cure for our own diseases by them.

George Bernard Shaw

Do not take that which is not yours,
including the lives of other animals.

Anthony Douglas Williams

The time will come when humanity will extend
its mantle over everyone who breathes.

Emotional Intelligence đŸȘ·

All that we are is the result
of what we have thought.

Buddha

Better keep yourself clean and bright:
you are the window through which
you must see the world.

George Bernard Shaw

Most people are other people. Their thoughts
are someone else's opinions, their lives
a mimicry, their passions a quotation.

Oscar Wilde

The body benefits from movement,
and the mind benefits from stillness.

Sakyong Mipham

Instinct guides the animal better than the man.
In the animal it is pure, in man it is led astray
by his reason and intelligence.

Denis Diderot

If a man thinks badly of you then he is worse
than you, those who are better than you
just don't care about you.

Nelson Mandela

You can't help what you feel,
but you can help how you behave.

Mark Twain

detachment is the key to all success.

Mahatma Gandhi

Emotional triggers
- How do you want people to experience you?
- Decide ahead of time how you're going to act in difficult situations.
- Set a time limit. Have an exit strategy. End the conversation first.

The mind unconsciously loves problems

This is normal, and it is insane.

Eckhart Tolle

They will drag you down to their level
and then beat you with experience.

Mark Twain

Jonah Berger

Know how to listen, and you will profit
even from those who talk badly.

Plutarch

If anyone can show me, and prove to me,
that I am wrong in thought or deed,
I will gladly change. I seek the truth,
which never yet hurt anybody. It is only
persistence in self-delusion and ignorance
which does harm.

Marcus Aurelius
