to search for the truth. Have holy curiosity.
Make your life worth living.

I have no special talent.
I am only passionately curious.

Albert Einstein

be alone, that is when ideas are born.

The Life You Can Sa๐Ÿงกe

What you do makes a difference, and you have to
decide what kind of difference you want to make.

Jane Goodall

Be nice to the environment.
Be nice to animals.
Be nice to people.
If you do that, you will leave
a mark on the world.

Enock Maregesi

The only way to save yourself
is to endeavor to save others.

Nikos Kazantzakis

The world has enough for everyone's need,
but not enough for everyone's greed.

can't support billions of meat-eaters.

David Attenborough

Jo Frederiks

I think there is a connection between the way
we treat animals and the way we treat people
who are at the bottom of the hierarchy.

Angela Davis

All the arguments to prove man's superiority
cannot shatter this hard fact: in suffering
the animals are our equals.

Peter Singer

The destiny of animals cannot be separated
from the destiny of man, and the destiny
of man cannot be separated from the destiny
of all of nature. I am exploring new narratives
that help build a bridge across the artifical
boundaries we have established between
ourselves and other species.

Gregory Colbert

Our task must be to free ourselves... by widening

our circle of compassion to embrace all living

creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty.

Albert Einstein

I am of the opinion that my life belongs to
the whole community and as long as I live,
it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.

George Bernard Shaw

My own view is that being vegan is not an end
in itself, but a means towards reducing both
human and animal suffering and leaving
a habitable planet to future generations.

Peter Singer

We are haunted by the horror of what we do
to animals, but we are equally haunted by
the knowledge of how unhaunted others are.

J.M. Coetzee

Each one of us makes a difference every day
by the choices we make. When billions start
making ethical decisions, we can put
the world on the right track.

Jane Goodall

A man is ethical only when he obeys
the compulsion to help all life which
he is able to assist, and shrinks from
injuring anyone who lives.

Albert Schweitzer

The difference between what we do and what we
are capable of doing would suffice to solve
most of the world's problems.

Mahatma Gandhi

Do your little bit of good where you are;
it's those little bits of good put together
that overwhelm the world.

Desmond Tutu

May our broken hearts fuel us to fix our world.

The Measure of Man

The measure of a man is
what he does with power.

Plato

The ultimate measure of a man is not
where he stands in moment of comfort
and convenience, but where he stands
at times of challenge and controversy.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

The human being cannot live in a condition
of emptiness for very long: if he is not growing
toward something, he does not merely stagnate;
the pent-up potentialities turn into morbidity
and despair, and eventually into
destructive activities.

Rollo May

No man is more unhappy than he who never
faces adversity. For he is not permitted
to prove himself.

Seneca

The greatness of a man is not in how much
wealth he acquires, but in his integrity
and his ability to affect those
around him positively.

Bob Marley

A life without self-reflection and exploration
is not one worth living.

Only a man who knows what it is like to be
defeated can reach down to the bottom of
his soul and come up with the extra
ounce of power it takes to win
when the match is even.

Muhammad Ali

The obedient always thinks of themselves
as virtuous rather than cowardly.

George Carlin

and the way they make us feel.

We can judge the heart of a man
by his treatment of animals.

the most vulnerable and powerless
in our society.

Do not go where the path may lead. Go instead
where there is no path and leave a trail.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

My way of joking is to tell the truth.
It's the funniest joke in the world.

Whoever fights monsters should see to it that
in the process he does not become a monster.
And if you gaze long enough into an abyss,
the abyss will gaze back into you.

When evil men plot, good men must plan.
When evil men burn and bomb,
good men must build and bind.
When evil men shout ugly words of hatred,
good men must commit themselves
to the glories of love.

Fearful men control, intelligent men analyze,
but wise men listen with intent to understand.

J. Mike Fields

If we have to have a choice between being dead
and pitied, and being alive with a bad image,
we'd rather be alive and have the bad image.

Golda Meir

you have no heart,
and if you are not conservative when old,
you have no brain.

Winston Churchill

When bad men combine, the good must
associate; else they will fall one by one.

Edmund Burke

If we are not prepared to defend a tolerant
society, then the tolerant will be destroyed,
and tolerance with them. We should
therefore claim, in the name of tolerance,
the right not to tolerate the intolerant.

Someone Not Something

Animals are not ours to eat, wear,
experiment on, use for entertainment
or for any exploitative purpose.

Sharon Gannon

just so you can have a snack.

Russell Brand

Anyone who moves is not
supposed to be eaten.

the more entitled it is to protection
by man from the cruelty of man.

and loyalty and gratitude, then a lot of
animals are better off than a lot of humans.

James Herriot

There is no fundamental difference between man
and animals in their ability to feel pleasure
and pain, happiness and misery.

Charles Darwin

We've objectified certain animals so much
that we refer to them as 'livestock'.
'Stock' that just so happens to be alive.
An inconvenience that they were
even alive to begin with.

Ed Winters

I don’t want to eat anything that had a mother.
Fred Rogers

The pain that we cause is the cause of our pain.

One should not kill a living being,
nor cause it to be killed,
nor should one incite another to kill.
Do not injure any being,
either strong or weak, in the world.

Buddha

animals are not products for our use.

Arthur Schopenhauer

๐ŸŒป What is Veganism? ๐ŸŒฑ

Veganism is a philosophy and way of living
which seeks to exclude - as far as is possible
and practicable - all forms av exploitation of,
and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or
any other purpose; and by extension,
promotes the development and use of
animal-free alternatives for the benefit
of animals, humans and the environment.
In dietary terms it denotes the practice
of dispensing with all products
derived wholly or partly from animals.

The Vegan Society

If we could live happy and healthy lives
without harming others, why wouldn't we?

Pam Ahern

A good heart will refuse the happiness
built on misfortune of others.

Saadie

We know we cannot be kind to animals
until we stop exploiting them -
exploiting animals in the name of science,
exploiting animals in the name of sport,
exploiting animals in the name of fashion,
and yes, exploiting animals in the name of food.

Cรฉsar Chรกvez

I show my love for animals by not eating
them or participating in any business that
profits directly from their exploitation.

Mayim Bialik

We cut the throat of a calf and hang him up
by the heels to bleed to death so that our veal
cutlet may be white; we nail geese to a board
and cram them with food because we like
the taste of liver disease; we tear birds to pieces
to decorate our women's hats; we mutilate
domestic animals for no reason at all except
to follow an instinctively cruel fashion;
and we connive at the most abominable
tortures in the hope of discovering some
magical cure for our own diseases by them.

George Bernard Shaw

The time will come when humanity will extend
its mantle over everyone who breathes.

Jeremy Bentham

We don't want to focus on the trees
at the expense of the forest.

Douglas R. Hofstadter

Veganism serves as the criterion by which
we know that the pursuit of moral progress
on the part of humanity is genuine and sincere.
Veganism is the acid test of humanitarianism.

Leo Tolstoy

Every effort should be made to stop
the wanton, cruel slaughter of animals,
which must be destructive to our morals.

Nikola Tesla

Shame on such a morality that is worthy of
pariahs; and that fails to recognize the eternal
essence that exists in every living being,
and shines forth with inscrutable significance
from all eyes that see the sun!

Arthur Schopenhauer

If you don't want to be beaten, imprisoned,
mutilated, killed or tortured, then you
shouldn't condone such behavior towards
anyone, be they human or not.

Moby

The assumption that animals are without
rights and the illusion that our treatment
of them has no moral significance is a
positively outrageous example of human
crudity and barbarity. Universal compassion
is the only guarantee of morality.

Arthur Schopenhauer

Whether we exploit animals to eat, wear, to
entertain us, or to learn, the truth of animal
rights requires empty cages, not larger cages.

Tom Regan

Our task must be to free ourselves
by widening our circle of compassion
to embrace all living creatures.

Albert Einstein

It is not an act of kindness to treat animals
respectfully. It is an act of justice.

Tom Regan

My own view is that being vegan is not an end
in itself, but a means towards reducing both
human and animal suffering and leaving a
habitable planet to future generations.

Peter Singer

I don't care whether they are capable of
thinking; all I care about is that they
are capable of suffering!

Jeremy Bentham

Alone we can do so little;
together we can do so much,

Helen Keller

We don't acually give anything up.
We merely stop taking what
was never ours to take.

Richie Kul

War on Women

Before you think good or evil, who are you?
Huineng

Ultimately evil is done not so much by evil people,
but by good people who do not know themselves
and who do not probe deeply.

Reinhold Niebuhr

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt
the world to himself. Therefore all progress
depends on the unreasonable man.

George Bernard Shaw

I sometimes try to imagine what would have
happened if we'd known the bonobo first
and the chimpanzee only later - or not at all.
The discussion about human evolution might not
revolve as much around violence, warfare and
male dominance, but rather around sexuality,
empathy, caring and cooperation.

Frans de Waal

The arc of the moral universe is long,
but it bends towards justice.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

It is not possible for a bird
to fly on only one wing.

Swami Vivekananda

The number of people with any criteria for
distinguishing between good and evil
is very small.

T.S. Eliot

One's life has value so long as one attributes
value to the life of others, by means of love,
friendship, indignation and compassion.

Simone de Beauvoir

I think there is a connection between the way
we treat animals and the way we treat people
who are at the bottom of the hierarchy.

Angela Davis

The worst thing that we can do as women
is not stand up for each other, and this is
something we can practice every day,
no matter where we are and what we do
women sticking up for other women,
choosing to protect and celebrate each other
instead of competing or critizing each other.

Amal Clooney

The question is not whether we will be extremists,
but what kind of extremists we will be. For hate
or for love? For the preservation of injustice
or for the extension of justice?

Martin Luther King, Jr.

Competition is the law of the jungle,
but cooperation is the law of civilization.

Peter Kropotkin

When I despair, I remember that all through
history the way of truth and love has always
won. There have been tyrants and murderers
and for a time they seem invincible, but in
the end they always fall... think of it, always.

Mahatma Gandhi
